Joli!
Fowler Museum UCLA, 2017

Museum graphics for Joli! an exhibition of extremely rare masks from the 1970s made by groups of young Muslim men in Sierra Leone at the Fowler Museum.

For the design I reinterpreted the complex masks into paper shapes, which fell gracefully onto the shape of the head. Each label and text panel were placed carefully at an angle to accentuate the shadows of the delicate masks.
